About Chuck Morgue

Chuck Morgue was born in Ferriday, Louisiana, in 1979. He has spent his life studying art and literature (mostly in the horror-based genres) in Louisiana and Mississippi. He also has a considerable collection of comic books. He loves Italian food, dark chocolate truffles, and sweet tea. His favorite movie is “The House On Haunted Hill” (1960) with Vincent Price. His favorite comic book hero is The Question. His favorite musician is Dax Riggs. His favorite book is a tie between “The Picture Of Dorian Gray” by Oscar Wilde and "Frankenstein, or the Modern Prometheus" by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley. His favorite authors are Clive Barker and Poppy Z. Brite. His favorite TV show is Lost. He hopes to one day be able to grow a magnificent beard like his heroes Alan Moore and Rob Zombie.

In 2007 he founded House Of Morgue, an independent publishing company to unleash his writings upon the world. His first book was the exploitation horror novella The Horns Of Evangelina. He is currently working on his second book, The Main Course.

Chuck Morgue currently lives in south-west Louisiana with his wife Fallon, and his children: daughters Izzy and Rowan, and son Lex. They want very much to relocate to Austin, Texas sometime in the future.
